Artist + Educator

Carrion Lover-Lilly is an artist and educator based in Pennsylvania. Her art practice is a sociological investigation through a wide variety of media including sculpture, installation, performance, dance, painting, drawing, and digital media. Much of the work relies on the viewer’s interaction to complete the artwork, resulting in dozens of uniquely personal iterations of the same piece. The art asks the viewer to introspect by changing the lens through which they see themselves or their circumstance.

Her fascination with human behavior and social environments in art compliments her work as an educator. As a teacher, she strives to create a learning environment in which students benefit from the power of art to create a moving shared experience. She also believes in art education as an incredibly important tool for social change. Equipping youth with the ability to create, perceive, and judge their own reality leads to a more liberated, innovative future.
